We went to a Kansas City Royals game a few weekends ago. We got there early to get the free jerseys they were giving out to the first 20,000 fans, as well as try to catch a ball during batting practice. Although no one in our family actually caught a ball, both boys somehow ended up with balls from batting practice. Woohoo! The first one landed in the hands of a couple who wasn't even trying to catch a ball, so they gave theirs to A4. The second one was caught by a guy who was standing to the right of J10 and since he had already caught one ball, the Boston player called him out and told him to give it to a kid. And that kid just so happened to be J10. Neither of the boys cared whether or not they had been the one to actually catch the ball. They were just so thrilled that they got one.
The Royals had a really neat stadium with a mini-miniature golf course-baseball themed of course. Apparently they had just remodeled the stadium and it was pretty nice. I kept busy the entire game running to different concessions getting food for everyone, but that's just what I prefer to do during sporting events. After the game was over we grabbed food at Sonic for the 3 hour drive home, so the last picture shows what B2 likes to do when we release her from her carseat. Too cute!
